About

TaleDale is an independently run reading website for English-language suspense and mystery fiction. Its two current novels are complete, with 100 chapters each. One follows disputed identities, memories and records. The other develops a neighbourhood mystery through a book club, friendships and family secrets.

Choose a book and read at your own pace

Visit Stories to compare the books, read their introductions and browse their chapter lists. All 200 chapters in the current collection are free to read without an account. Optional reading progress is saved only after you enable it, in the browser you use. Returning to an earlier chapter does not move the default continue-reading position backwards.

How the current books were made

AI tools were used to generate and revise the prose of both novels. A story-concept credit identifies the credited creative role and is separate from the generation of the prose and the site’s editorial and publishing work. My Husband Says I Died Three Years Ago retains its story-concept credit to Nora Ashwick. Each book’s introduction includes its production information and content note.

The individual site operator is responsible for editorial and final publication decisions. “TaleDale Editorial Team” is the publication credit used for that work, not a separate story-concept credit. The operator has confirmed personally reading and reviewing all 200 chapters in the two current novels.

Separately, an AI-assisted chapter-by-chapter review checked plot continuity, character consistency and language across both books. Subsequent local revisions clarified a scene transition, corrected inconsistent wording and shortened repeated explanations. Publishing checks also covered chapter order, navigation and reading progress. Some continuity questions remain under review, and further corrections may be made. These checks do not mean that every error has been found.
